Intent upon satisfying those surgeons who are used to working with textured implants, Silimed developed a range of textured implants in 1990. In 1992, Silimed developed a new texturization technology of open pores for implants; this is the result of a proprietary evaporation process that creates the rough surface of open cells.

The textured implant has been recently improved and is now presented its own BioDesign™ range, providing a comprehensive choice designed to meet individual patient needs.

The BioDesign™ collection of textured implants are available in four projection options; extra high projection (XH), high projection (HI), moderate projection (MD), low projection (LO), and consists of four implant styles:

• MAXIMUM (20622)- round based, spherical profile implant with medial pole projection.
  
• NUANCE (20646)- oval based, anatomical profile implant with lower pole projection.
  
• NATURAL (20637)- round based, tear drop profile implant with medial pole projection
  
• ENHANCE (20674)- oval based, anatomical profile implant.
